Driver Notes:

Windows: Install the drivers on the CD that comes with this dongle before plugging it into your PC.

macOS: Most Macs come with bluetooth hardware, but if you need this dongle for your Mac, Bluetooth support is already built into the macOS, so the driver CD that comes with this adapter is not needed. Note that if you did not remove the internal Bluetooth card from your Mac, you will have to run the command "sudo nvram bluetoothHostControllerSwitchBehavior=always" in Terminal App to force macOS to use the dongle. To un-do that change, run the command "sudo nvram -d bluetoothHostControllerSwitchBehavior".

Linux: Like most hardware, either your chosen Linux distribution supports this dongle or you have to find and install the drivers for it. If you have kernel v5.8 or later, it should support it (https://linuxreviews.org/Realtek_RTL8761B). The CD that comes with this adapter is not needed for Linux. The chipset used in this dongle is Realtek RTL8761B.
